Since 2013, TRUE Stories Ministries has partnered with individuals, churches, universities and other non-profits across the United States, and in several foreign countries, to help people…Learn, Love & Live their TRUE Stories.
Why do we believe in the importance of Story? Psychologists have discovered that stories are how we think, learn, process and make meaning of life. Our stories tell us who we are, our identity; why we are here, which is our purpose; and where we belong.
Our mission defined by the acronym TRUE is to see God:

What we have seen happen is that as people learn their story from Jesus' perspective, they begin to be able to love themselves, others and the Lord at a deeper level. As they see Him use the pain in their stories as a platform to birth purpose in their lives, they begin to live in their TRUE Story playing an important role in His Story!

In our Story Retreats, TRUE Stories uses various methods to engage all types of learners such as, brief teachings, hands-on experience, journaling, reflection time, and group interactions. We hope to help people in this process see the Truth of our stories from God's perspective, identifying lies that have held us captive, replacing them with His Truth, seeing His grace throughout our stories, and discovering the freedom of living in our TRUE identity and purpose! TRANSFORMING STORIES
In 2020, the pandemic created challenges for us to gather in large groups for retreats. However, more than ever, women need opportunities to connect and find freedom from the things that hinder them from walking fully in their calling. So we have adapted our retreat experience into a journey for small groups to take together.
What is the purpose of this journey? To put it simply, it is for your life to be transformed by the ongoing redemption of your story. For you to learn how to use your story as a tool for evangelism and discipleship. And as a result, see other lives transformed as their stories intersect yours.

TRUE Stories team member, Ashley Grice, is the owner of Threadbare To Thriving. She has been licensed for over 15 years to provide an interactive, individualized program for women who want practical steps for applying the truths they gain through their Story experiences. TRUE Stories facilitates change on a spiritual level and Threadbare To Thriving facilitates change on a practical level. As the Lord changes your perspective of your identity He also wants to change your behaviors so you're functioning at your best.
Gain the skills to: regulate emotions and energy, complete projects and stop overcommitting, master time management and planning and overcome procrastination, maintain focus/attention, organize yourself and your spaces, take healthy responsibility for the right things, and more!
